03 Aug 2010
South Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority and the four South Yorkshire district councils have just started public consultation on the Sheffield City Region Draft Transport Strategy. The strategy will take into account how to help people access jobs, leisure services and shops, as well as providing access to education and hospitals.
This consultation is designed to help find out people’s views on the future of transport in our region. The draft strategy in full, an executive summary and a questionnaire for people to provide their comments are all available at www.southyorks.gov.uk
Consultation leaflets will also be available at locations throughout South Yorkshire. The leaflet provides members of the public with a brief overview of the draft strategy and invites people to complete a short questionnaire.
The consultation period ends on 15 October 2010 when all the responses will be collated and analysed.
