Increase In Hospital Waiting Times

Figures published last week revealed that the number of people who waited over 18 weeks for hospital treatment increased by a third between May 2010 and May of this year.

The Prime Minister promised to keep waiting times low, but almost 7,000 more people were waiting more than 18 weeks than the same period a year ago, and the situation is getting worse by the month.

Instead of concentrating efforts on improving services for patients, the Government have spent a wasted year trying to force through their reckless and damaging NHS reorganisation.
