The unemployment statistics published this week show there is no sign of Britain's jobs crisis letting up.

Long term youth unemployment in the Rother Valley is now up 88% in the last year, yet the Government still has no alternative in place for the successful Future Jobs Fund.

The Government needs to take urgent action, starting in the Budget next week, when the Chancellor should include a tax on bankers' bonuses to fund 100,000 youth jobs and a tax break for small firms taking on extra workers to help get Britain back to work.
