Since April 2010 the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has awarded over £52 million to projects which explore the heritage of the First World War.
The Kiveton Park & Wales History Society recently received a grant for a project to raise awareness of and commemorate people who lived or worked in both villages and who served in the First World War. The project includes the restoration of the war memorial, a day of commemoration and an exhibition.
The HLF’s First World War initiative has at least £6 million available to enable people to explore, conserve and share local heritage of the First World War. For more information please visit www.hlf.org.uk
